2014 3 Rings Shiraz Review

Review:

After an extremely long week in New Mexico I was ready to settle down with some wine, screaming children and probably some Unisom. I scoured through the wine fridge and found this dude hiding in the back. I coaxed it out with some vegemite and received consent to open it.

Looking back, I wish it would have said no.

This wine has an odd nose to taste combination where the nose has a whisky / bourbon scent to it but is then very sour on the taste that lingered well after opening. It did get slightly better with some sour apple notes coming out as it sat but it was nothing memorable.

This wine sits at $18 and because I can’t stand behind it, both literally and figuratively, I can’t make it part of Kelly’s Picks. There are way better wines out there for this price unless you like sour/whisky/smoke smoothies then this is your jam. I do appreciate the label did not try to woo me with bullshit which is why it got rated closer to 2 than 1.

Anyway, don’t buy it. Or do. Your money.
