2016 Michael David "Freakshow" Cabernet Sauvignon Review
I’m sure you’ve seen this wine and/or had a single white female friend bring it to your house. I know you have.
Bottles like this are probably sold in ridiculous numbers due to the label - it's attention grabbing and LMAO FUN! The Michael David Winery makes a shit ton of wine and I'm sure you've heard of a few - Earthquake, Inkblot, Petite Petit, etc. I've had the Earthquake and Inkblot before but this is my first go at the Freakshow - out of protest.
This is a white chick with black frame glasses wine, man. In da nose I get eucalyptus and blueberries. In da mouf I get a mineral taste that really grips the gums followed by tart raspberries that finishes off into this weird salty thing. It tastes exactly how I figured it would.
Should you buy? Well, are you a white female? Do you care how your wine tastes or are you just here for the buzz? If you're here for the buzz snag it. If you're tryna not wear those combat boots to a nice dinner then step it up.
