Review:

The first time I tried this wine I forced the wine manager of HEB, Andrew Winston, to include it in our Cabernet dinner. He did. Everyone was better because of it (jk - I didn't force him but I wasn't mad that it happened).

This is my first Knights Bridge product - I have heard their Chardonnay is fantastic but Chardonnay fucking sucks so put that in the useless information column. To Kalon vineyards generally make my grundle quiver so I was very excited but also disappointed because all of their other products are fighting an uphill battle after this. For serving purposes I let this aerate for an hour and a half (plus some change) and no decanting (separation of settled materials) was needed. THEN I POURED IT ON MY WIFE AND TURNED ON GET LOW!

In da mouf I get the rock/soil side of the earth note, a beautiful lavender scent and fresh plums. The nose sold me right away and evolved nicely as it aerated (yup, I sniffed all on it while it matured). In da mouf I get smoked meat, herbs and dark cherries. This wine is a pit master's dream, man. Legitimately tasted of such things. There were very light tannins and the finish was more Soprano-like than Lord of the Rings. That was the only disappointing thing.

So as you can see above this wine isn't cheap. This is where my "Should you Buy?" formulas can sometimes lead you astray as it is a VERY nice wine but I don't think that for the money you're getting something that is KNOCK YOUR DICK OFF AMAZING. If you have the disposable income and want to try it get after it but if you want to spend $140 on a wine call me and I will lead you to things that will make ya toes curl. So is this good? Hell yeah. Is this the best $140 wine you can get? Nah.
