2012 Pasquale Pelissero "Bricco San Guiliano" Barbaresco Review
Many of you have probably heard of Pelissero from Piemonte but this is not the one you see in many stores. This would be a smaller operation run by one of our favorite wine ladies - Ornella. Here daddio is the one that is keeping this thing running and hopefully she leaves it to my daughters because PLEASE!
This particular Barbaresco (Nebbiolo grape) is from their oldest vineyard and I can guarantee this has 30% Italian sweat in it because every time I've hung out with these fools they're sweating like whores in church from workin' them vines. This is all you need to know.
In da nose I got cheese and green olives. Not sure it can get more Guido than that but it's nice. Also I can say Guido because I'm Italian. In da mouf I got plum, cedar and tobacco. It was less earthy than a lot of Barbarescos and the nose really threw me off.
It's a very unique wine that appeals to me because I'm a weird dude but not everyone may like it. I'm not sure where you can find it domestically but you should come on the Bad Wine Reviews wine trip next year (2020) and try it for yourself!
