2012 Newton Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Review
Someone please get control of my wife as she’s just rummaging through the wine fridge like a suburban housewife at 11 am. No matter where I hide my DON'T TOUCH wine she finds a way to spring it from it's refrigerated sarcophagus.
I acquired this bottle in a slimy trade behind a Skechers where we shot some dice and threw rocks at patrons. It was quite the afternoon. Newton puts out a solid amount of wine annually and they aren't your bargain wine producers. Most of their wine starts at $60+ going up well above $200. To put it basically - don't open this wine on a basic bitch.
In da nose I got rich choclate and Italian herbs. You could probably use this as some fucked up dessert pizza sauce. In da mouf I got some delightful black cherry and strawberry jam notes. The taste is far superior to the nose - the nose is confusing and considering some sort of dick-lopping-off operation. The mouthfeel is that of a high quality wine and stays around for a while.
The interesting thing here for me is I tasted it in pieces over the course of an hour and it really didn't change all that much considering it is unfiltered. Maybe they meant the label is unfiltered like #nofilter or some dumb shit. I dunno. Good wine minus the nose and I would recommend you try it if someone offers.
