Review:

This wine was had on a night of 8395385 drinks and my ability to adequately make heads or tails of it was slightly impaired. Luckily I was able to make a few notes on my phone in my altered state so I could share with you, the people, my one eyed review.

This is a Clos du Val product which is a tad hard to see based on the label there. I've had a few of their wines over the years and haven't been overly impressed with their cabs to date. When this was brought out I squinted questionably. I mean the squinting wasn't questioned - only the wine.

In da nose I got a breakfasty treat of cheddar and toast. It was something unique for a cab rather than BLAH BLAH BLAH BERRIES AND DARK FROOT HURRRR! In da mouf I got delicious raspberries and some pleasant black pepper. The mouthfeel is quite nice on this wine and much better than many of the other Clos du Val bottles that have been limped out there.

The price tag on this dude isn't something to mess around with. I think it's a very nice wine if you want to get it for a nice evening or to try somethind different but at this price I would recommend several other cabs.
