Elijah Craig Small Batch "Houston Whiskey Lodge Pick" Bourbon Review
This is the FINAL sample from trans-children rights activist and Bad Wine Reviews loyalist, Chris O'Mara that I had to go through. It has been daunting but I found a way to persevere. Anyway, let's talk Elijah Craig liquid.
This here is a standard 94 proof Elijah Craig pick from the Houston Whiskey Lodge that is comprised of some stellar people. Now I've been very public on my general MEH for Elijah Craig but I was pleasantly surprised by the last one I got into so we'll see how this fares (pssst - not great).
In da nose I got corn, toast and a tad bit of honeysuckle if I shoved my nose clean on in. In da mouf I got bitter-ass cocoa followed by a lackluster, allergy inducing peanut thing.
This was a total meh bomb. The mouthfeel was wildly thin (even for EC) and the finish was quicker than Usain Bolt (see, I can do clean jokes). The problem with shitting on these too hard is the fact that at $30 for a pick it will be hard to find something better or more unique. I'll stick to being a complete pompous ass and drink my shit with muh pinkie up.
