Vine 2 Wine Blanc du Bois Review
I sure do enjoy patronizing local wineries and all that they have to offer. Everyone starts somewhere and their whole purpose is to bring we, the people, the juice of their labor and I'm happy to oblige.
I've seen Vine 2 Wine pouring samples in our local store but have never really tried their wines as I've been told they focus primarily on sweet wines. Y'all know me - that ain't what I'm about. However I had a good friend offer to meet me over there and go through their lineup - so we did! This is their Blanc du Bois - a hybrid grape resistant to a lot of the crap that bother other types of varietals.
In da nose I got mango and peach that was a tad sweet but more on the refreshing, pleasant side. In da mouf I got sweet honey and a finish of lime.
This is an excellent offering using only Texas grapes that comes across as refreshing and drinkable. Although typical, the $25 price tag is a bit steep for what is in the bottle but if you like supporting local then I say get at it!
