Review:

We opened this bottle after having a wine that I gave the lowest rating ever to so there's nowhere to go but up for this one. My wife went on a cheap wine buying spree which is a good thing for our family but a rough thing for my mouth.

This wine hails from the Mendoza area of Argentina where Malbecs are the cocks of the walk. They have a quote on their site that says, "Our wines are only made by free-spirited and highly experienced professionals." That means whores and slaves. Anyway this is their terroir series which is a fancy way of saying SEE THE OTHER GRAPES WE CAN USE!

In da nose I got blackberry and moss. Now moss is sometimes taken negatively but I attribute that to earthy notes much like wet wood or something. In da mouf I get strawberry jam and a shit load of pomegranate concentrate.

For $13 this isn't a bad wine to sip on after a long day of errands and kids screaming at you. It is not special, memorable or an amazing wine to have with your meal. It be what it be.
