Review:

What’s better than one Macallan? Two Macallans! Well that’s not exactly what we have here but we've double the cask and double the fun huehuehuehue. I mean there's a lot of things better than one Macallan - $1 million, Hot Cheetos, Twin Peaks, etc. Anyway, let's talk booze.

The Macallan Double Cask is a marriage of Highliand scotch aged in American / European Oak Casks followed by some light finishing in Spanish Sherry casks. You may have heard me talk (if in person most likely feelin' good) or read my literature regarding the Balvenie Doublewood and how much I love it. This is Macallan's attempt to do double stuff too but it's not as good. Sorry. Balvenie is double king.

In da nose there is a smidgen of peat, some caramel and a bit of figs. The smoke comes through a bit more than other Macallan offerings which is a bit bizarre. In da mouf I get a lil' bit of smoke, some leather and just a pinch of chocolate. Enough to make you say mmmmmmmhmmmmmm, girl.

Like many of Macallan's products I think it's a bit overpriced but still a quality product. Macallan is best drank while watching people clean your house or while twirling your mustache and you read the good news of more returns on your stocks.
