Review:

One day someone will ask me to try something new and instead of saying, "HELL YEAH I'M OPEN TO EVERYTHING!" I'll say, "Take your suggestion and shove it up your boner, man!" The problem is I end up liking so many amazing, interesting things in the alcohol world that I'm moving closer to selling plasma for booze.

Patrimonio is a 14 and change year single blended rum from Foursquare, Gods of the Rumpire. It is finished in ex-Bourbon and Sherry casks coming in at 116 proof. This was a limited run of 6,000 bottles and the name translates loosely to, "Interstellar was just an ok movie." Or heritage. I dunno.

In da nose I got intense raspberry and plum followed by a very warm vanilla. In da mouf I got licorice and a very clear cherry liqueur finished off with some delightful clove. One of my negative qualities is I never shut the fuck up but this left me speechless.

This was absolutely without a doubt the best rum I've ever had. It had incredible complexity throughout and the flavors just stayed with you and evolved over several minutes. I want to thank Bad Wine Reviews loyalist, Allen Richards for letting me try this as it was an absolute treat. If you ever get the opportunity to try or buy get the hell on it!
