Four Roses Rice Fine Wines and Liquor (2019) Store Pick Review
I felt so special about this bottle because I called to reserve it and the exceptional lady that answered the phone, upon taking my name down, said, "OH! Bad Wine Reviews guy right?! Cool - no worries we'll hold this for you." I'm almost at the point of achieving my main goal which was inspired by Riff Raff - TO BLOW UP AND THEN ACT LIKE I DON'T KNOW NOBODY!
This is the third OBSF I have reviewed which is categorized as "mint, fruit, spicy, full body" and you'll just have to read on to find out what I found. In terms of Rice Fine Wines and Liquor - wonderful people that you should support. I've had a few other picks from them and they are all delightful.
In da nose I got rose, coffee and raisin that melded together in what a bourbon nose should be. In da mouf I got front oak followed by hazelnut with a finish of fresh honeycomb. The mouthfeel was very viscous with an almost waxy coating.
I absolutely loved the nose, the palate and the bittersweet finish on this one. The mouthfeel was a bit odd as I felt like there was a wax coating like I was eating those wax lips from back in the day. Overall this is a fantastic pick and if you don't like it well then your palate awareness is just fucking putrid.
