Review:

I had the chance to buy a couple of these a year or so ago and I passed because the only experimentation I'm into is...other...stuff. I've heard mixed reviews on these bottles as a friend of mine stated he spit the one he bought out into the sink and then bought a new sink.

You can actually read up on every single experimental release here via Buffalo Trace's website. There seems to have been a little over twenty released so far. This particular offering was created with a barrel that had its staves aid dried for 48 months vs. the typical 6 months. It is apparently not as loved by Buffalo Trace due to its lack of "balance" but was praised for how much it took from the wood - huehuehuehue.

In da nose I got spices and vanilla bean which let's go ahead and attribute to them staves. In da mouf I got strong herbs, mint and a bitter cocoa on the finish. I actually thought this was pretty decent and even went back for more. It had some uniqueness like some meat you know you really shouldn't be eating...

I definitely would not go out and search these experimental bottles but if you get the opportunity to try somewhere go ahead. Use the link I provided because as I said previously some of those are absolute dog shit.
