Blanton's Burris Liquors Pick Bourbon Review
I know what you’re thinking, “Blanton’s is my dream bottle and how ever did you come across this holy grail?” My bro in law actually hooked me up with this bottle since it hails from South Carolina and knew that I would shove the contents down my gullet. He was right. I do that.
Blanton's gets a bad rap because people have turned it into this MEGA AMAZING AWESOME SUPER BERBIN which means the average drinker hunts it mercilessly and walks into every liquor store within a 800 miles radius of their home asking, "DO YOU HAVE BLANTON'S?!?!?!" This has angered those a little more serious in the hobby and they have turned their backs and turned up their noses to this liquid.
Hmmphness aside let's talk about this bottle. Store pick Blanton's don't occur very often so it was cool my bro in law was able to procure such an item. In da nostrils I get cinnamon and cocoa that are making eyes at each other at a gay bar in New Orleans. In da mouf I get dried fruits, oak and fudge that's a little bit tart. This one threw me for a loop because initially it comes across as thin but has a surprisingly long finish. It's probably confused and needs thinness conversion therapy.
I like Blanton's. There I said it. I think it's a solid bourbon at true retail and really easy to drink. Don't let the naysayers out there deter you from trying it. You can also watch my video on why Blanton's is so popular here to learn more.
