Review:

My parents gave this to me for Christmas because they are thoughtful people who don’t give gift cards like I do. I've seen Blade and Bow get a lot of hate because it's No Age Statement (NAS) whiskey and for their gimmicky ass "collectible keys" bullshit - SOME RARER THAN OTHERS HURRRRRR (mine is #4) - but I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Read on to see the benefits I've given.

This liquid comes from the ol' Stitzel-Weller distillery where they use the Solera system. Solera translates loosely from Cambodian to "horseshit mixing nonsense" where they blend a bunch of shit together over time from different heights yada yada. Because it's NAS and labeled STRAIGHT (cis-white male term) that means it's at least 4 years old but up to 783 years. Also their website has a video you cannot pause or mute and that's unforgiveable.

Alright let's talk this liquid. As I mentioned people shit on this but for all the grievances of stupid terms and videos I ultimately care about what's in the bottle. In da nose I get banana and homemade vanilla. You know what I'm talking about. My bro-in-law said it accurately that it smells quite young and he's right - kind of harsh but once you get ya nostrils in there you can make out that vaniller and such.

In da mouf I get some figs, graham crackers and one cranberry. It's slight but it's there - a lil' tart Thanksgiving action. So overall it's actually not a bad sipping bourbon. I rather like it for all their stupid website shit. The other thing that irritates me is they have their whole story on each side of the six-sided bottle. Makes taking pictures of it frustrating.

Overall I really like it for the price - at $42 it's definitely worth a taste and something you can sip on while you think of all the things you need to do around the house but aren't going to do. Try it and tell me what you think or tell me why you hate it.
