Review:

I haven’t been confused since that time in college but I have no idea what I have in my glass currently. This was sent to me by a Bad Wine Reviews member and as I tell everyone do not send me stuff unless you want the truth - the hysterical truth. So here we go.

This bourbon is out of Denver, Colorado from the Laws Whiskey House. As you can expect there are a lot of pictures of bearded guys with their arms crossed with looks on their face like, "Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to get that new mustache wax at Trader Joe's." They pride themselves on not sourcing product and well - maybe they should think about it.

I opened the sample bottle, poured it into my glass, stuck my nose in it and the first thing that came to my mind is, "That motherfucker poured the wrong alcohol into this sample bottle or he labeled this bitch wrong" because it smelled like a scotch. Straight up, man. The mashbill on this is 60% corn, 20% wheat, 10% rye and 10% barley. Scotch's main ingredient is malted barley so I'm not sure what's going on but this damn thing smells like it's got red hair and wants to be independent.

I don't really know what's going on here. Truly. I'm going to find out more info to see if I'm fucked up or if there's some labeling issues. I'll update it if something is awry but for now the notes are - scotch. Ultimately if this is how this thing really tastes then yeah they wanna think about sourcing.
