1792 Bottled In Bond 2019 Liquor Hut Pick Bourbon Review
This is my second go at the Liquor Hut BiB pick from 1792 - last year's offering was an absolute gem. The hoodlums they have picking these seem to know what they're doing or maybe I have an appreciation for shit palates - who knows?
The 1792 Bottled In Bond is about the only one in their series that I get pumped about because it tends to have some bolder flavors and different profiles from the eye rolling CARAMEL, BROWN SUGAR, HURRRRRRRRR game.
In da nose I got banana, whip cream and mint. If you didn't get banana here you need to be inspected for a lack of nostril. In da mouf I got 56% more banana (see nostril comment), walnut and warm cinnamon.
So what I appreciated about this is it drank hotter than its 100 proof but not in a bad way. This had a fuller, more complex feel with the flavors circulating like a Kardashian at the NBA All-Star game. The only negative here is the banana overload. If I wanted to be overcome by bananas I would go to Key West and carry around a Boss water bottle. Overall I enjoyed it and think it's a unique offering at the price point.
