Russell's Reserve Single Barrel - Liquor Hut "Gobsmacked" Pick Review
This is my second Russell's Reserve store pick by Liquor Hut and I definitely give it the nod over the first. The first, while good, was similar to doing body shots of lava off a Dragon. Anyone else get weirdly turned on?
Liquor Hut has put out some badass picks and I'm betting they will continue to be offered a wide variety of options moving forward. If any of you not in the Houston / Texas world want one let me know and I'll be glad to mule for you like Demi Lovato's spoon dealer.
In da nostrils there's vanilla bean and macadamia nuts that make you think it's going to be a sweet 'splosion but the palate starts somewhat smokey and moves into a calm fruit like Asian pear on the finish. Also if you've never had an Asian pear you're basically homeless. This one is still a tad hot going down but I've found most Russell's Reserve picks are - it's not a bad thing and nothing a little water can't help with.
