Review:

This bottle of Old Weller Antique (OWA) 107 was selected for Liquor Hut out of Mont Belvieu, TX (I've written about them before) and is one of the hardest bottles to obtain for store pick purposes. If you watched Episode 29 of the youtube series (I know you did) then you know how the store pick process works.

Because of bourbon bros. OWA has become an allocated bottle - store pick or not - and is getting relatively hard to find. If you can find the normal OWA retail I think you should pick it up because it's one of the best daily drinkers for the money.

I waited in line to get this bad boy a few months back and if you know me you know that I HATE waiting in line more than anything in the entire world. And having my face touched. People who wait in line for bars, clubs, rides, etc. are just silly. So I obviously wanted this a lot.

Was it good? Was it worth the wait in line? Yes. On the nose I get salted caramel and espresso. In da mouf, I get a hint of banana flavoring - which is nicer than just straight up bananas. It's almost like a bananas foster kind of thing where it's very subtle. It's not like a banana hammock though which I know disappoints some of you.

While you can't go and buy this particular offering anywhere you can come to my house and try it if you're really nice and I think you're an ok person. If you suck and I say something like, "Oh my gosh we're taking the kids to Disney and I'm going to be waiting in line for rides." then you know I'm lying and I don't like you. Great bottle, greater pickers and one of the greatest stores.
