2015 Tether Cabernet Sauvignon Review
I tried this wine because I had read a few things about its mysticism and I like to be mystified by mystery. Basically the short of it is this wine is thought to be sourced from some very high end wineries around Napa so people are speculatin' like there's gold in them thar hills. I like to speculate, as well as other types of...ate, so here we go.
The wine is incredibly dark which means something in particular. Or maybe it doesn't. That's the mystery. It's very viscous but not like you're swishing around Jell-O in a pool. Why would you be eating Jell-O in a pool? I dunno, man but this wine isn't like that. It has surprisingly bold tannins and a very nice oakey finish that makes me tingle.
In da nose I got a berry liquer and blackberry jam scent that worked really well together. In da mouf I got cinnamon, black cherry and a shit ton of oak on that nice, long finish. I've tasted this particular wine around other people and what I've found is you either love it or hate it. My wife hates it because she doesn't know nuthin, mkay. I love it because I'm the most refined person ever.
I know the $50 price tag is a tough one to swallow but if you can make it work I think you should. Give it a try if you wanna get your mystery diddled.
