Old Weller Antique 107 "Houston Bourbon Cosortium" Bourbon Review
Old Weller Antique 107 store picks are one of the more interesting bottles out in the market today. They cause some hobbyists to sport lil' chubbies upon hearing about them while others tend to shove their hand as far down their mouths as they physically can until reaching maximum vomit rates. I tend to like 'em.
This particular store pick is from the LEGENDARY HOUSTON BOURBON CONSORTIUM EMPORIUM SEX STORE AND MORE group out of Houston who have now changed their name to something about Tejas and bourbon yada yada. Anyway I've had some picks by these guys before so I was really interested in trying this one.
In da nose I got chocolate covered fruit and wildflowers. It was a very odd back and forth between rich and floral but neither really won out in the end. In da mouf I got stale honey and milk chocolate that had been sitting in the car a little too long. I must say this wasn't one of the better 107 picks I've had. I came at it from every angle too - with ice, upside down, in my car, running from the police, negotiating a hit, etc. Just didn't do it for me.
Some people claim it's drain pour material or SUCKS DICK MAN! but that's just not the case for me. It paled to others but wasn't hot ass garbage like Little Book 2. There's probably not a lot of these left but if you get the chance to try - give it a whirl.
