2014 Bootleg Red Blend Review

Review:

At first I was a bit skeptical of the price. I think I paid $40 for it but HEB was running a 20% off mix and match 6-pack so I took a chance. I'm very glad I did. Many times you'll get a California red blend and it will taste like Robitussin and hairspray but this was a shock to muh buds - TASTE BUDS.

I have no idea how people smell anything with wine but I could not get a familiar scent. Smelled like wine, yo.

First thing I noticed on the palate was how smooth it was. No bitterness and just had me refilling the glass quickly. Tonight we had a raspberry and walnut salad and my Nonna's family recipe pasta and this wine was the perfect compliment. I am going to buy a few more bottles and pair this bitch with a big ribeye and then some lamb chops and wait for the love fest.

I cannot complain about the price. It's priced right and I highly recommend you pick up a bottle, drink it all, call your ex and tell them it was their mother that drove the wedge between you.
