Review:

I have been eyeing the big brother of this wine (the Cabernet) for a while now but this little thot made its debut in the glass case recently so I took a chance on it because I've heard great things about said brother. I looked at their website because I like to see how pompous the vintners are but it looks like they kept it simple and just try to make good wine.

They produce a very limited amount of wine per their site so I'm pretty pumped the local grocer was able to snag this - thanks, Andrew! It seems you can sign up to order their wines via their mailing list so little ol' me may just be doing that because I have a problem.

So when you pop the cork off this bad boy you immediately get hit with a very bold fruit smell - almost overpowering in a good way. I let it aerate for about 30 minutes while giving it a good what-for shake every 10 minutes. We've been drinking on this for a couple hours in between chasing children around and yelling at each other and it just keeps getting better and better. In da nostrils I get pepper (but not sneezing out ya asshole pepper) and and a nice herbal / botanical thing going on. In da mouf I get candied apples and butter that has that velvet texture everyone likes to talk about. The fruitiness is not jammy but just a beautiful compliment to the texture and sexual body of the wine. Oh and for real, y'all I had this with some Hot 'n Sour Soup and gotdang it was really nice. Those fruit notes and delightful texture paired with a confused soup really hit the spot.

The only thing I'm weary about is the price tag. I was feeling frisky so I picked it up but $100 is quite a lot to drop on a blend. I've had blends as good (or pretty damn close) for less than half the price but you won't be disappointed if you buy it.
