Review:

I was gifted this bottle by a Bad Wine Reviews member and if there is a bad part of doing this it's when you're not wild about something that someone gives you. You're caught in a weird place where you're not really sure what to do - however, I think it's important to tell the truth and only lie about things like money, whereabouts and STDs.

As I've written before I've come to the conclusion that my happy places with Pinot Noir are Washington, Oregon and France...in that order. I've had a little problem getting into the California Pinots like it's my first time. *sly smile.

As soon as I opened the cork I had a feeling I wouldn't mesh with the wine based off the nose. It smelled like it was a bit underage and I was seeing right through that fake ID and multiple quotes about Cardi B. What I mean by underage is the wine seemed like it wasn't ready AND/OR the qualities of wine it was displaying didn't age as MY PALATE prefers for Pinot. In da mouf, there was some cheese, sour apple and tart raspeberry notes that meshed together pretty well.

I let it air a bit and some of the sour notes leveled off but then the SWEET notes came roaring in. The wine transitioned between sour and sweet often and I think my taste buds went into overdrive. I gave this a 2.58 because I recognize that the wine is good and has a lot of qualities a ton of people really like - it's just not for me. I wish I was more refined but I'm just a fat guy who likes Keystone Light and midget wrestling.
