Tin Roof Brewing

Tin Roof Brewing was our third and final stop before making our way to the LSU campus on a day filled with anger, booze and 10% regret. If you’re taking in an LSU football game you should think about this place because they offer a pay-for shuttle service for all games which is a pretty solid deal. The shuttle starts three hours before game time and will bring you back after - it’s a pretty sweet gig. You can leave your car in the very large parking lot FOR FREE which is also another perk.

Y’all know I love outdoor seating - well this place has a lot of it. They’ve also got tailgate games, TVs a taco food truck and plenty of seating for all sorts of group sizes. I nibbled on some of their nachos and queso which was your average beer joint fare. As for the beer, I tried the Juke Joint IPA which was ok - again, I prefer citrus style IPAs rather than the straight bitter hop monsters. This one seemed to be in the middle. My buddies had the Bayou Bengal lager and one of the other beers that I’m sure were fine.

The bartender happened to be an AU grad who seemed to be supportive of Gus which means they lose 4 points. JAY KAYYYYY - he was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. What ruined this place was the inbred Alabama fans perched around the bar like flies on shit. Except the shit was each other. One particularly atrocious bammer woman was making snide comments about hating Auburn as she stuffed her face with spam she brought from home.

I think you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t stop over at Tin Roof and enjoy a sunny day in ol’ Baton Rouge. They’ve got beer to go in bottles, growlers and probably zip-loc bags so you can load up on your way out.
